Datacenter Migration – Customer Information

Everything you need to to know regarding the upcoming migration.



Overview

As part of our commitment to always providing best in class technology solutions, we are writing to inform you and provide advanced notice that we will be performing a datacenter migration of all production Glass Business products to a new hosting location. This upgrade will provide even more stable, reliable, and high-performance services.

Date of the Migration

The migration will be taking place on Wednesday 3rd December at 8:00 PM AEST, which will require an outage window.
During this time, services will not be available.

The outage is expected to last no more than 3 hours, and we are committed to keeping downtime to a minimum.

Customer Action Required for Glass’s Future Values, Webservices, Autoedge

We kindly request that access to the below products is via the public DNS hostname only and not via an IP address, as these can change due to high availability within the new datacenter environment.

Customer Actions required for the Glass’s SFTP service

If you are currently connecting to this service using IP whitelisting and you have restrictions within your firewall for incoming traffic currently set to “180.189.140.142“, this restriction should be removed prior to 3 December. This is because we utilise modern, secure, high-performance cloud services for our APIs, which utilise dynamic IP addressing.


SFTP Certificate Update Notice

The first time you connect to ftp.glassguide.com.au after the migration, you will be prompted to accept a new certificate within your internal SFTP connection software. Example prompt below:

Please select accept. You will not be prompted again in the future.


Access Credentials

Your login credentials will not change and will remain as they are.
